Overcome

Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good  – Romans 12:21 What a powerful, concise exhortation this is! In just a few words, Paul sums up the mission of Christian living . First, be not overcome of evil! There are a thousand different ways in which Satan seeks to tear down our Christian testimony. It may be a temptation to sexual sin, or a tendency toward despair, or a disposition toward anger, or a longing for personal advancement or recognition. And, second, overcome evil with good. The Christian’s posture is not a defensive one. We are to be overcomers, not merely survivors. Not only are we not to give up in fighting sin, we are to counteract the sin in the world by our good lives and conduct. We are to overcome evil. But for all the temptations that may come our way, the remedy is the same, simple command: do not allow evil to overcome you. Stand fast in the Lord and in the power of his strength. Do not give in; do not be puffed up; do not allow your p

Prayer for Father's by Matt Haviland

“Father, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.”   ( Ephesians 6:4 ) Lord, we thank You for the way You have designed what a family is supposed to look like and the specific roles You have ordained to a mother and a father of how to lead their children. Yet Lord, through our sinful ways we have taken what You have made holy and created our own version of today’s families. Because of this, our children are suffering. It is for the fathers, families, and children of our nation that we do pray today.  Lord, we pray specifically for fathers and fatherhood across our land. We thank You for the men who are leading according to Your statutes and the ones that are laying their lives down for Your purposes. We pray that You will continue to use these men to lead their families and other men. We pray You will strengthen the fathers of our nation and that You will continue to empower churches, organizations, and individuals to inv
John 5:24 24. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
Our false perception is the biggest cause of fear and frustration; in fact, I might boldly say it's the only cause! If we live without faith, our perception is restricted to what we see with our eyes and hear with our ears. With this limited input, it's no wonder so many live in fear - it's no wonder so many become frustrated and discouraged with their day to day life. But as our faith and understanding of God increase, we are able to trust in what we cannot physically see or hear. We can live in peace, knowing that "the One who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world" (1 John 4:4). Battles occur in and around us every day, battles which cause us to become heavily burdened. We desire to walk down God's path, but the pulls and attacks of the world seem relentless. We need to remember that His plan and provision is always perfect - always working toward the good. Somehow we must understand that the battle we see with our physical eyes and analyze

GOD CARES

God Cares  1 PETER 5:7 AMPLIFIED 7 Casting the whole of your care -- all your anxieties, all  Your worries, all your concerns, once and for all -- on Him;  For He cares for you affectionately, and cares about you  Watchfully.   EXODUS 3:7 NIV 7 The LORD said, "I have indeed seen the misery of my people in  Egypt. I have heard them crying out because of their slave  Drivers, and I am concerned about their suffering.   ISAIAH 63:9 NIV 9 In all their distress he too was distressed, and the angel of  His presence saved them. In his love and mercy he redeemed  Them; he lifted them up and carried them all the days of old.   JOHN 11:35 KJV 35 Jesus wept.   Of course, the question arises, "If God cares, why doesn't He  Do something?"   The answer is that God has already done something. Now it is  Our turn to act. God has redeemed mankind and set us free from The dominion of darkness by the sacrifice of Calvary. Now we  Must believe God's
Beloved, let the light of My truth shine in you to expose the darkest recesses of your being.  There are still things hidden that must be revealed for the purpose of setting you completely free, says the Lord.  Righteousness must be restored before your own light can shine unhindered by the darkness of carnal living.  Set your heart on purity.    Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
Jeremiah 31:3 3. The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.
“When you go through deep waters and great trouble, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown! When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you.” -  Isaiah 43:2 , NLT
Ephesians 1:13-14 13. In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, 14. Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.
DAILY WORD PROMISES  God Says In HIS Word: "Do not let your heart be troubled.  Trust in God; Trust also in me."     John 14:1   Because HE Says It, It must be TRUE! Therefore I Will Believe It In My Heart And Confess It With My Mouth: I will not be afraid!  I will not be anxious! Thank you Lord that I can trust in your word.  If you tell me that I can trust you to protect me  and meet my needs, it must be so.  Thank you Lord  that I am safe.  Thank you that I am healed. Thank you that my needs are met according to your  supernatural provision.  You are the same  yesterday, today, and forever.  Your word is true  today.  I will rest on your word without fear. I  will only believe.     Reminder  Use this week's promise from God every day of the  week to help you activate the power of God in your  life. Meditate on this promise from God each day throughout  the week. Let this scripture build faith in your  heart. Speak these words a

Like the Oyster,  we encounter pain,  storms and uncertainties in this life but GOD Shall turn them into Beauty. Hold on God will restore you and wrap you in His Glory
"We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love our brothers" (1 John 3:14). Although loving others will not save us, John forcefully states that if we are truly saved we will love one another; "whoever does not love does not know God" (1 John 4:8). It's interesting to note that in the five chapters of 1 John, the word love is used 46 times. If love is this important, we ought to understand what it means.1 John 3:16-18 "This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down His life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers. If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him? Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth." John is saying that Jesus set the example for love and that our love for others is a direct result of the love of God within us. As we love God and surrender our life to Jesus Christ, His lov
2 Corinthians 5:9-10 9. Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him. 10. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

Shaking

THERE IS A SHAKING IN THE SPIRITUAL REALM... THIS IS WHAT THE LORD GAVE ME Hebrews 12:25-26-28 25 See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven: 26 Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven. 27 And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain. 28 Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: GLORY TO YOUR NAME GOD

Isaiah 40:30-31 30. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: 31. But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
